News Readers enable users to read and post articles from USENET newsgroups. Before setting up a newsgroup reader, please ensure that you have setup the NNTP preferences in CProxy Server (Options > Protocol Options > NNTP Options).

Outlook Express Configuration

• Open Outlook Express as normal.
• Click the Tools menu followed by Accounts
• Click the Add button and select News from the Add menu.

• Enter your name as requested and press Next.
• Enter your email address as requested and press Next.

Outlook Express: News Configuration

• Enter the IP address of the workstation running CProxy Server in the News NNTP server field.
• Choose a friendly name for the account and press Next.
• Select LAN as a connection method and press Next.
• Click Finish to complete the configuration.

Forte Free Agent Configuration (1.11)

• Once you have installed Free Agent, a setup wizard will be launched when you first run the program.

Forte Free Agent: Initial Configuration

• Enter the IP address of the workstation running CProxy Server into the News (NNTP) Server field.
• Enter the IP address of your email server in the Mail (SMTP) Server field. This may be the IP address of CProxy Server or the workstation IP address of a local mail server.
• Enter your email address and full name in the relevant fields and click OK to complete configuration.
